Search Inc. approached me wanting to make a video that told the story of their incredibly unique travel program, “Search for Adventure.” The video was to play at their annual gala and biggest fundraiser of the year. The video needed to both encompass the years of stories the program had and be repurpose-able for social media.
The program has a complex story with many moving parts, it involved 25 years of stories, hundreds of people, and even more emotions. How do you summarize all of that into one video? I knew right away we needed to:
see one of these adventures in action
hear from the people that have been there since the beginning
have some humor
show the emotional impact it’s had on the people who participate
There were hours of footage and stories, to say encompassing it all into one cohesive story was complicated is an understatement. I needed to show all aspects of Search for Adventure, its' humble beginnings, its’ spirited present, and its’ promising future.
There were 50+ guests at the event, including a state representative and CEOs of several major corporations. The video helped Search Inc. directly raise $20,000 on the evening.
Search Inc. got feedback from several long-time guests that it was the best video to date.
